Using SAS Output Delivery System and HTML links
This section shows a sample of the output from CPExpert, using the optional SAS Output Delivery System (ODS) and using optional HTML links to sections of the CPExpert User Manuals that contain descriptions of findings.
The optional (but no additional cost) features shown in this section were made available with CPExpert Release 11.2, issued in October 2001.
Please note that the links to rule descriptions require Adobe Acrobat Reader, and the links seem to operate better in Microsoft Internet Explorer. The links sometimes work OK with Netscape by double clicking on the link. Sometimes, it is necessary to right click the link, and then select one of the "open" options at the top of the Netscape pop-up window. I haven't a clue why this strange behavior occurs. When you are examining the sample output, please be aware that the analysis and output can be tailored by each site.
The data selection guidance variables allow you to select specific intervals for analysis, or analyze specific work units (for example, you can analyze specific service classes or specific CICS regions).
The performance analysis guidance variables allow you to modify the analysis (for example, you can change guidance or simply "turn off" selected analysis). Unique guidance can be applied to specific work units (for example, you can specify analysis guidance for particular coupling facility structures or for particular CICS regions).
|The reporting guidance variables allow you to modify how the output is produced and what parts of the output are produced (for example, you can produce or suppress listing of guidance variables, you can produce or suppress summary information, you can produce or suppress links to CPExpert documentation, etc.).|
The sample output is based on test data, and the samples are intended simply to illustrate how CPExpert exploits the SAS Output Delivery System features. The code delivered with CPExpert Release 11.2 might be modified, depending on feedback from existing CPExpert users as they review the sample output. (For that matter, even if you are not a current CPExpert user, please feel free to comment on the sample output!)
